Restaurant
Lin Jiang Yan
Remodelled from a heritage building (c 1902), this restaurant is perfect for banquets and entertainment. The main area and private rooms all share the same river views. The young head chef, who used to work for a hotel in Shanghai, updates traditional Jiangzhe cooking with creative twists. Pre-order his Fukubukuro Yanduxian – tofu skin pouches stuffed with ground pork and shepherd's purse in a rich broth of cured and fresh pork with bamboo shoots.
Michelin Selected (or "listed") restaurants receive recognition for solid performance but fall short of stars or Bib Gourmand, often noted for competence during travel.
