Mercato
From Jean-Georges Vongerichten comes this lively Italian restaurant with Mediterranean twists. The interior sees an eclectic mix of natural materials matched with urban savviness. On the menu, family-style dishes come in sizes large enough for sharing. Signatures such as wood oven-roasted whole Icelandic halibut, and porcini-crusted salmon with warm leek vinaigrette and herbs, are well worth trying. Also ask about the chef’s specials.
