Yanzhong Greenland is a network of open green spaces along Yan’an Road, also known as Square Park. Instead of a single enclosed garden, it consists of several sections with trees, lawns and water. Visitors repeatedly praise the shaded paths, ponds and small bridges, using the park to rest after shopping streets, read or take a short walk. Autumn and early winter bring ginkgo leaves and red maples reflected in the water. This is primarily a city park for an unhurried break. Allow 45–60 minutes for one section, or longer to explore several areas and stop for photographs.
For navigation, use the Chinese name 延中广场公园. Amap places the nearest section about 130 metres from Exit 5 of 一大会址·黄陂南路 station, known as Site of the First CPC National Congress · Huangpi South Road. The park is near K11 mall and fits into a walk around Huaihai Road. Check the crossings before extending your route: the green spaces do not form one uninterrupted pedestrian area.
Entry is free, and both Amap and Trip.com list round-the-clock access. Daylight is best for foliage and photography. Quiet evenings described in ordinary visitor reviews do not guarantee the same atmosphere during major events. Seasonal event: from 17 September to 16 October 2026, the Huangpu section of Yanzhong is part of the Shanghai International Light Festival’s main venue, with light installations among the trees. Programmes vary by date: separate projections at Shanghai Concert Hall on 18–27 September are free but require advance booking. Check the current programme before an evening visit; festival lighting is not a permanent park feature.
