Location
The station is situated in the Dongshahe area (东沙河街道), outside Tengzhou’s traditional city center. It is approximately 9 kilometers from downtown Tengzhou, a location chosen to allow for better transport access and future development. Because it is not centrally located, most travelers use taxis, ride-hailing services, or local buses to reach the city center.
Rail Connections
Tengzhou East currently serves high-speed trains operating along the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. This line connects major cities such as Beijing, Jinan, Nanjing, and Shanghai, making Tengzhou accessible from key economic hubs in eastern China. Regional development plans also reference its role in future high-speed rail expansions in the area.

Like most modern Chinese high-speed rail stations, Tengzhou East features airport-style security screening, electronic ticket gates, waiting halls, and clearly marked boarding areas. The station plaza has been upgraded in recent years to improve passenger flow and better separate pedestrian, taxi, and vehicle traffic. Transfers between taxis, buses, and shared bicycles are available outside the main entrance.

Passengers should plan to arrive at least 20–30 minutes before departure to allow time for security checks and platform access. If traveling with luggage or arriving late in the evening, taxis or ride-hailing services are typically the most convenient way to reach central Tengzhou.
