Restaurant
Bao Zhong Bao Shi Fu
This household name, famous for home-style Hangzhou cooking, has been around for over 20 years. The dining area occupies two floors, but seats are limited: at peak hours, expect to queue or share a table with others. The signature cold appetiser of pork kidney dressed in a sweet tangy sauce is meticulously prepared. The deep-fried tofu skin wrap with a pork and scallion filling and the braised pork with smoked dried bamboo shoots are also well made.
Michelin's Bib Gourmand marks good quality meals at moderate prices, focusing on value without star-level prestige.
