Third Bathing Beach (also called Taipingjiao Bathing Beach) lies on Zhanshan Bay just east of Taipingjiao Cape, where the old town of red roofs meets the new city. It is small, quieter than the First Bathing Beach, and its main asset is the view east across Fushan Bay to the Olympic Sailing Center and the high-rise skyline.

Visitors consistently praise the night view and light show on the Fushan Bay towers, which several compare to Shanghai's Bund, and the sunset. Locals recommend it for small waves that suit children and beginners. On the other hand, some find the sand coarser than expected, with stones underfoot and seaweed or debris in the water, so experiences vary by day.

Practical tips: take the metro or a bus to Taipingjiao Park station; alternatively walk along the coast from the First and Second Bathing Beaches, timing arrival for dusk. A sculpture of two hands and two feet marks the approach. Entry is free and the beach is open around the clock. Plan 1-2 hours, ideally late afternoon into evening. It combines naturally with a walk through Badaguan next door. Water shoes help with the stones.

Common complaints: there is no free foot rinse; showers in the changing rooms cost around 30 yuan for cold water and more for hot water, according to visitors. Sunshade tents and umbrellas on the sand are paid, though you may set up your own tent in a designated area. Bring water to rinse off and your own shade to save money.
